Brent crude futures climbed to $115.485 a barrel after a 2.05% rise by 9:41 a.m. ET Friday, alongside a steeper gain in U.S. benchmark WTI.

The WTI contract stood at $101.940 a barrel, up 2.48%. Its percentage increase was 0.43 percentage points greater than Brent's, while Brent's quoted price exceeded WTI's by $13.545 a barrel.

It provides a snapshot of both crude benchmarks: the dollar quote gives each barrel's price, while the percentage figure measures the size of each reported rise.

For readers comparing the figures, Brent had the higher price per barrel, but WTI posted the larger percentage increase. The two measures describe different parts of the same move: the quoted level and the size of the reported gain. Both benchmarks were higher at the time of the update.
