Brent spot oil rose 6.8% to $125.39 per barrel at the Oct. 22 close, while the 10-year U.S. Treasury real yield fell to 3.05% from 3.15% on Oct. 21.

The yield edged up to 3.08% on Oct. 23. The Oct. 22 readings show one observed session in which oil rose as the real yield fell, but they do not establish a longer-term correlation between the measures.
