Polkadot (DOT) closed Binance’s Oct. 23 daily spot candle at 1.075 USDT, 3.33% below its previous daily close. A calculation using 20 completed daily closes placed the lower Bollinger band near 1.06 USDT, close to the candle’s closing price.

The UTC candle covered Oct. 23 from 8 p.m. ET Thursday to 7:59 p.m. ET Friday (00:00–23:59 UTC). It ranged from 1.074 to 1.203 USDT, a 10.72% high-to-low span. That range is distinct from the 3.33% close-to-close decline.

In an Oct. 20 analysis, analyst Parshwa Turakhiya made the dollar-denominated $1.08 level a condition for an upside scenario. “DOT could extend toward $1.17 and then $1.27 if it holds above $1.08,” Turakhiya wrote. He identified $1.00 as a downside reference after a daily close below $1.08, then $0.94 if DOT closed below $1.00. A prior DOT chart setup at $1.08 also outlined the $1.17 and $1.27 levels.
