Tokenized Assets Reach $38.8 Billion in 2026 Year-to-Date Tally
Tokenized equity reached $3.2 billion in 2026 year to date, up 357% from 2025.

Global tokenized assets reached $38.8 billion in 2026 year to date as equity tokens surged and Treasury and alternative-fund markets expanded, extending growth across several blockchain-based investment categories.
AFME published its October report Oct. 19. The $38.8 billion total covers 2026 year to date, while the comparison figure covers all of 2025, so the readings span different periods. The tally is 52% higher than the $25.5 billion recorded for 2025.
Tokenized equity reached $3.2 billion in 2026 year to date, 357% above its 2025 level. Single stocks and equity baskets accounted for about 88% of that market.
Tokenized U.S. Treasuries, including money market funds, remained the largest asset class. The segment reached $14.9 billion year to date, compared with $9.1 billion in 2025. Money market funds represented 64% of its value.
Alternative investment funds represented $14.3 billion, up from about $11 billion in 2025. Credit was the largest macro category in that segment, at approximately $8 billion.
Ondo Finance operates in this market through products including Ondo Stocks. The product gives eligible investors outside the United States economic exposure linked to U.S.-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds. Its tokens are not the underlying securities, and the product is unavailable to U.S.-based clients.
The figures do not establish that growth in the broader market translates into demand for Ondo (ONDO). ONDO holders have no shareholder rights or claims to company dividends or distributions, a distinction covered in an earlier review of token-holder rights.
Coen Ter Wal, AFME's managing director of technology and operations, said, “The question is increasingly how these markets can scale, rather than whether the technology can be put to practical use.” Ter Wal said further growth will depend on systems that work across networks, supportive regulation and infrastructure that operates safely and efficiently.
