XRP recorded the highest funding rate among five crypto perpetual-futures markets in an Oct. 23 snapshot, while open interest fell across all five over 24 hours, showing a broad decline in outstanding positions.

At 7:06 p.m. ET Friday, Oct. 23, XRP’s mark price was $1.29, and its funding rate was 0.0100% every eight hours, or 10.9% annualized. Open interest fell 3.33% to $401.6 million. Long accounts made up 76.2%, compared with 23.8% short. The update follows an earlier five-coin funding snapshot.

Bitcoin (BTC) had a mark price of $80,825 and a funding rate of 0.0038% every eight hours, or 4.2% annualized. Open interest fell 3.90% to $7.48 billion, the largest drop in the group. Long accounts represented 67.8%, while short accounts made up 32.2%.

Ether (ETH) was at $2,368, with funding of 0.0015% every eight hours, or 1.6% annualized. Open interest dropped 1.34% to $5.47 billion. Long accounts represented 76.1%, compared with 23.9% short.

Solana (SOL) had a mark price of $102.21 and funding of 0.0058% every eight hours, or 6.3% annualized. Open interest declined 1.36% to $864.1 million. Accounts were 74.4% long and 25.6% short.

Dogecoin (DOGE) had a mark price of $0.0779 and funding of 0.0097% every eight hours, or 10.6% annualized. Open interest fell 1.86% to $212.5 million. Long accounts made up 73.8%, and short accounts 26.2%.

All five funding rates were positive. In perpetual futures, a positive rate means traders holding long positions pay those holding short positions. Open interest measures the value of derivatives contracts that remain open.
