BTCC Futures Volume Rises 32% to $387 Billion in Q3 2026
Q3 volume in BTCC's TradFi category was $16.3 billion, but its $2.7 billion Q2 comparison was labeled TradFi futures volume, leaving the scope unclear.

BTCC reported $387 billion in futures trading volume for the third quarter of 2026, up 32% from Q2, as Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) added the exchange to its suspicious virtual-asset trading platform list.
BTCC distributed its Q3 growth update on Oct. 22, 2026. It did not provide contract-level volume figures or explain how it calculated the $387 billion total, so the update does not show how much each product contributed.
Futures volume measures contract turnover, not cash deposited or net positions. Futures traders generally post margin, or collateral, rather than paying a contract's full value. The figure captures trading activity over the quarter; it does not represent the amount of cash customers deposited or show their net positions at the end of the period.
BTCC also put volume in its TradFi category at $16.3 billion for Q3. The company described that as a sixfold increase from $2.7 billion in Q2, but the labels differ: Q3's figure is “TradFi volume,” while the Q2 figure is “TradFi futures volume.” BTCC's Q2 update put TradFi futures volume at $950 million in Q1, before it reached $2.7 billion in Q2. The labels do not establish that the Q3 and Q2 totals cover the same scope.
BTCC listed Aug. 21, 2026, as its highest-volume day, with $16.7 billion in futures trading. It also said it launched USDC-margined pairs tied to Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), SKHYNIX and MRNA. The update gave no volume figures for individual pairs, so it does not show how much those contracts contributed to the quarterly total.
The SFC added BTCC to its suspicious virtual-asset trading platform list on Oct. 22, 2026. The regulator identified BTCC Poland Limited as the platform's operator. The SFC said BTCC Poland Limited did not hold an SFC license and that it suspected the operator of carrying out unlicensed activity in Hong Kong.
