Coinbase Derivatives began scheduled maintenance Saturday, pausing futures and perpetual-contract trading for up to nine hours while users retained account access but could not open positions or modify orders.

Work started at 6 a.m. ET (10:00 UTC) and was expected to conclude around 3 p.m. ET (19:00 UTC). Users could still sign in and view account balances during the maintenance, but they could not open new positions or change existing orders.

The work included routine quarterly maintenance and participation in the Futures Industry Association’s annual disaster-recovery exercise.
