U.S. consumer prices, as measured by the CPI for All Urban Consumers, were 3.7% higher in September than a year earlier. The annual reading comes ahead of the Federal Open Market Committee’s scheduled two-day meeting on Oct. 27-28.

The inflation figure and the Fed calendar provide economic context, but they do not establish a connection between the September reading and any specific price move in Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) or other crypto assets.

The meeting is scheduled for Oct. 27-28.
