Dow and S&P 500 Futures Rise Before Oct. 28 Fed Decision

Dow futures gained 0.33%, while S&P 500 futures rose 0.13% early Monday.

Dow and S&P 500 futures rose early Monday as investors looked ahead to the Federal Reserve’s Oct. 28 policy decision after a difficult week for U.S. stocks.

Dow futures gained 0.33%, while S&P 500 futures rose 0.13%. The figures describe gains in those two contracts and do not establish that every major U.S. stock-index future advanced.

The Fed is scheduled to announce its policy decision at 2 p.m. ET (18:00 UTC) Wednesday, Oct. 28. A news conference is set for 2:30 p.m. ET (18:30 UTC).
