European shares advanced early Oct. 26, with the STOXX Europe 600 up 0.3% as investors prepared for central bank decisions and economic releases later in the week.

The move came ahead of a week of central bank decisions and economic releases. The European Central Bank (ECB), which sets monetary policy for the euro area, is scheduled to announce its decision Oct. 29 at 9:15 a.m. ET (13:15 UTC).

The ECB’s news conference is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. ET (13:45 UTC) that day.
