[Editor’s note] This column examines Korean crypto trading through an interest index covering tokens traded on both Korean and overseas exchanges. The index combines Korean trading share, overseas trading share, the kimchi premium and recent trading surges. It focuses on actual trading value. Korean trading share measures a token’s proportion of trading on Korean exchanges; overseas share measures its proportion of overseas trading. A higher Korean share relative to its overseas share indicates a greater concentration of trading in Korea.
