XRP Ledger Records 3.72 Million Transactions, a Six-Month High

The XRP Ledger recorded 3.72 million transactions Oct. 25, its highest daily count in six months, as activity rebounded sharply from an unusually low reading the day before.

The exact total was 3,718,664, compared with 204,582 on Oct. 24. That produced a 1,717% day-over-day increase. Because the previous day's count was unusually small, it made the percentage jump especially large. The Oct. 25 total was about 1.2 million transactions above the ledger's 30-day daily average of 2.5 million, or roughly 48% higher.

The latest count was the first daily reading above 3.7 million since April 8. The ledger's record remains about 6.9 million transactions, reached in December 2023. The six-month high therefore marked a return to elevated activity, but remained below the network's peak daily total.

Transaction activity had risen from about 1.8 million on Oct. 11 to 2.67 million on Oct. 18. It climbed again to roughly 3.69 million on Oct. 20, then fell to 3.2 million on Oct. 22. The drop to 204,582 two days later interrupted that progression before the Oct. 25 rebound.

Other measures showed a mixed picture. Successful transactions reached about 3.2 million on Oct. 25, also the highest level in six months. Transactions per ledger moved lower, falling to 176.57 from 223 on Oct. 24. The measures track different aspects of ledger activity and did not all rise together.

XRP was down about 13% in October, even as the ledger's daily transaction count recovered. The figures describe activity on the network; they do not establish what drove the increase.

A separate measure is the ledger's Payment transaction count. That count topped 1.1 million on Sept. 27, above its 30-day average, in earlier coverage of XRP Ledger payment activity. Payment transactions and total transactions are distinct counts, so the September figure is not a comparison point for the Oct. 25 total.
