Anthropic IPO Filing Is Followed by a 159% Rise in Perpetual Volume
Binance-related contracts saw 24-hour volume climb 233% to $35.2 million, while open interest rose 6.8%.

Anthropic’s public filing of an IPO registration statement on Oct. 26 was followed in less than an hour by a 159% jump in 24-hour trading volume for prelisting perpetual contracts tied to the AI company. The contracts reflect trading interest ahead of a proposed stock listing, rather than trades in Anthropic shares on Nasdaq.
Binance-related contracts posted a larger venue-specific increase: their 24-hour volume rose 233% to $35.2 million. Open interest, the number of positions that remain open, increased 6.8%.
The 159% figure describes the broader set of Anthropic prelisting contracts, while the Binance figure covers a venue-specific group. Volume measures trading over a period; open interest measures outstanding positions, so the figures track different aspects of activity.
Anthropic has applied to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a Nasdaq listing under the proposed stock ticker ANT. The planned U.S. equity listing is the context for the burst of activity in contracts tied to the company.
