XRP (XRP) traded at $1.30 Tuesday, as conflicting chart signals put the $1.25 level at the center of the near-term debate.

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez identified a TD Sequential buy signal on XRP’s three-day chart. The indicator is used to flag potential trend reversals; Martinez noted that the previous three similar signals were followed by rebounds of 31%, 24% and 18%.

Martinez tied his price levels to $1.25. His chart mapped a move toward $1.40 if XRP stayed above that level and toward $0.98 if it fell below.

Crypto analyst ChartNerd identified a bearish crossover on Oct. 19, when the 20-day exponential moving average (EMA) fell below the 50-day EMA. ChartNerd compared it with a similar crossover from May through August, which coincided with a roughly 30% decline from around $1.40 to below $1. That past move does not establish what the latest crossover will produce.

The signals use different chart periods: Martinez’s setup is based on a three-day chart, while ChartNerd’s crossover compares 20-day and 50-day averages. An earlier XRP chart analysis also highlighted the $1.25 to $1.30 area.
