Bitcoin (BTC) has moved within tight bounds for almost a month, a compressed setup ahead of Wednesday's Federal Reserve meeting and a possible rise in crypto-market volatility.

The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) is scheduled to meet Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. ET (18:00 UTC). The Fed chair is also scheduled to hold a news conference on the potential direction of interest rates.

Bitcoin's prolonged narrow trading has left its momentum compressed, while crypto-market volatility may increase rapidly during the FOMC period.
