Jason Calacanis Sees Bitcoin Retesting $57,000 Within 12 Months
He urged Bitcoin holders to focus on AI as U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $411.5 million in net inflows across six recent sessions.

Technology investor Jason Calacanis forecast a Bitcoin (BTC) retest of $57,000 within 12 months and urged Bitcoin holders to focus on artificial intelligence (AI), as six recent U.S. spot ETF sessions netted inflows.
In an Oct. 27 post on X, Calacanis described ETF withdrawals as a signal that would continue. “We will test the 57k low again in the next 12 months,” he wrote. His statement sets a one-year window for the retest but does not specify when within that period he expects it.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $526.7 million on Oct. 19, $23.2 million on Oct. 20 and $524.8 million on Oct. 21. Those sessions brought in $1.0747 billion combined. Outflows totaled $635.6 million on Oct. 22 and $137.9 million on Oct. 23, or $773.5 million across the two days. The funds added $110.3 million on Oct. 26. Across all six sessions, net inflows were $411.5 million. The inflow sessions came before and after the two-day outflow stretch. The funds’ Oct. 21 inflows were covered previously.
Calacanis also disclosed a long position in Bittensor’s TAO token. “I am long $TAO and love bittensor’s focus on scaling AI,” he wrote in a follow-up post. He did not disclose the position’s size or purchase date, leaving its scale and timing unspecified. The disclosure shows that his call to focus on AI came alongside a stated crypto holding.
Bittensor’s independent subnets produce digital commodities, including compute, inference and storage. Participants receive TAO based on the value they contribute. Calacanis has described crypto’s use cases as theoretical while calling AI’s utility immediate, and has linked Bittensor’s appeal to using crypto incentives for AI.
Calacanis made a similar appeal in 2023, urging people in crypto to pivot toward AI. His latest post directs that argument specifically at Bitcoin holders, while his TAO disclosure identifies a position in a network he praises for its AI focus.
