Bitcoin (BTC) recorded an estimated $5.5 billion in transfers between distinct entities in the latest on-chain snapshot, a 25.9% increase from seven days earlier as fees and active addresses declined.

The report covers the week through Oct. 25. Daily transaction fees paid to miners were $185,200, down 8.8% from $203,200 seven days earlier. Daily active addresses dropped 2.2% to 615,200, compared with 629,300 in the earlier reading.

Entity-adjusted transfer volume estimates the dollar value sent between distinct entities after excluding movements among addresses grouped under one entity. It does not measure trading on exchanges. Address grouping is an estimate based on proprietary methods, and recent readings may be revised.

The transfer value and fee total describe different aspects of network activity. Fees vary with transaction data size and competition to have transactions included in blocks. The dollar value sent does not automatically determine the fees paid.

Miners also receive newly issued coins through Bitcoin’s block reward. The $185,200 reading counts transaction fees alone, not the full reward.
