Tokenized U.S. stock spot volume on crypto exchange MEXC rose 81% in September from August, making up about 66% of the increase in the exchange’s traditional finance spot trading as that category recorded a 78% monthly gain.

The broader category grew 13% in August. Pre-IPO futures volume increased 60% in September, and the number of futures trading pairs rose 15% to 496 from 431.

More than half of MEXC’s tokenized U.S. stocks at least doubled their trading volume during the month. Marvell (MRVL) and Meta (META) entered the exchange’s top 10 by traditional finance spot volume. Their trading volumes on MEXC increased 212% and 152%, respectively; those figures measure trading activity, not share-price changes.

“The convergence of stocks and crypto assets is changing how users participate in markets,” MEXC CEO Vugar Usi said.

The figures cover activity on MEXC and do not establish a broader increase in U.S. stock trading. MEXC provided no dollar totals for its traditional finance spot or tokenized-stock categories, so the reported percentages show changes in volume without stating the total amount traded.

The data also cover a different product and period from an earlier analysis of MEXC Stock Futures, which examined activity through Aug. 11.
