A figure published at 7:41 a.m. ET Wednesday (11:41 UTC) put Bitcoin (BTC) whale holdings 8,162 BTC lower over the prior 24 hours, a decline valued at about $664 million. Bitcoin had risen more than 1% Wednesday at the time described.

Recent whale profit-taking totaled an estimated $156 million, a level of realized gains that may add to potential selling pressure. Across recent Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) decisions, Bitcoin's price change in the first hour was usually below 1%. A clearer direction often appeared during the next 24 hours and lasted into the following week.

URPD data placed nearly 1 million BTC near $81,000, a support area. If Bitcoin fell below $81,000, $77,000 and $67,000 were the next levels to watch. The data also showed about 620,000 BTC near $84,500, a level Bitcoin would need to clear for a bullish shift.
