115.4 Million USDT Transfer to Bitfinex Leads $227.9 Million in Whale Moves

Crypto wallets sent $175.6 million in Bitcoin and USDT to exchanges during a three-hour period ending at 8:08 a.m. ET Oct. 28, more than the $52.2 million transferred out.

The three transfers totaled $227.9 million. The largest was 115.4 million Tether (USDT), valued at $115.3 million, sent from an unknown wallet to Bitfinex at 8:03 a.m. ET.

At 6:21 a.m. ET, 740 Bitcoin (BTC) worth $60.3 million moved from an unknown wallet to FalconX. At 7 a.m. ET, 640 BTC valued at $52.2 million moved from Coinbase Institutional to an unknown wallet.

Transfers to exchanges are often watched as potential selling, while transfers away can be watched as potential holding. These transactions show where the assets moved, but do not confirm a sale or establish what the recipients plan to do.
