Shield says its wallet now supports ZEC and that it covers Aleo swap fees. Market details remain visible while wallet balances and account histories are hidden from public view.

Shield announced Wednesday that users can trade Zcash (ZEC) against USDCx on Shield Swap, its Aleo-based automated market maker, and add liquidity to a concentrated-liquidity pool. The announcement also adds ZEC support to Shield’s noncustodial wallet.

Shield covers Aleo network fees for swaps and includes liquidity-provider fees in the displayed quote. Access is limited to eligible participants and barred in restricted jurisdictions.

Shield Swap keeps wallet balances and account histories confidential from public view, while trading pairs, amounts, prices and routes remain visible. Zcash has two transaction modes: transparent transactions make wallet activity public, while shielded transactions encrypt transaction data.

Shield’s earlier liquidity partnership with Flowdesk was aimed at institutional and professional traders. That announcement did not name supported trading pairs.
