YieldMax declared a weekly distribution of $0.2600 per share for the YieldMax Short COIN Option Income Strategy ETF (FIAT), an 18% increase from the prior payment, with payment scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30.

The previous distribution was $0.2203 per share, announced Oct. 21. Thursday, Oct. 29, is both the ex-dividend date and the record date. Shareholders on record that day are eligible for the payment.

YieldMax estimates that 96.52% of the latest distribution is return of capital and 3.48% is income. The breakdown is preliminary; final tax treatment will be reported on Form 1099-DIV. Return of capital may reduce the fund’s net asset value (NAV) and trading price.

FIAT’s distribution rate was 80.97% as of the Oct. 27 close. The rate annualizes one payment against the fund’s NAV, so it does not represent total return or guarantee future payments. For the period ended Sept. 30, FIAT’s SEC yield was 2.56%, excluding option income.

The actively managed fund uses put spreads tied to Coinbase (COIN) shares to seek weekly option income and inverse exposure to COIN. Its strategy can expose the fund to losses if COIN rises, which option premiums may not offset.

TokenPost previously covered a FIAT $0.1658 distribution scheduled for Oct. 16. FIAT’s latest distribution is scheduled for Oct. 30.
