Gemini’s stated rationale included an expected quarterly burn and steady on-chain growth. BNB Chain’s 37th completed quarterly burn removed 1,646,196.44 BNB, valued at about $1.197 billion.
Total supply stood at 131,512,085 BNB at 6:05 a.m. ET (10:05 UTC) Oct. 19. Its quarterly calculation uses BNB’s market price and BNB Smart Chain’s block production during the quarter.
The program’s long-term supply target is 100 million BNB.
