Glassnode retweeted an X post by @n3ocortex disputing how traders use cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund outflows, arguing that the flows should not be treated as an early signal for market moves.

“outflows from ETFs are signal wrong. People need to stop treating ETF flows as a leading indicator,” @n3ocortex wrote.

ETF flows are among the activity measures traders monitor. The post focused on outflows and argued they should not be used to anticipate price movements.

An exchange-traded fund (ETF) is an investment fund traded on a stock exchange. ETFs can hold assets such as stocks, commodities or bonds. A leading indicator is a measure used to anticipate a future move; @n3ocortex’s post challenged using ETF flows that way.
