Lee described the comments as more dovish and said stronger-than-expected data could be viewed positively if the Fed does not try to slow AI growth.

Fundstrat Managing Partner and Head of Research Tom Lee said comments after Wednesday’s Federal Open Market Committee meeting could ease fears that artificial intelligence investment will fuel inflation and support risk assets and the AI trade.

Lee described the remarks as more dovish. They questioned whether AI-driven growth must lead to inflation, he said. Investors had worried that AI capital spending could push inflation higher and prompt the Federal Reserve to raise rates or tighten policy.

Lee said data that substantially beat expectations could be treated as positive if the Fed does not try to slow AI growth. He said that shift could help risk assets and the AI trade recover.

The comments follow Lee’s recent focus on AI spending and market risk. On Oct. 22, he said a technology selloff appeared to be nearing its final stages and planned to add crypto and Nvidia exposure in his assessment of tech stocks and crypto.
