Tokenized stocks had $3.77 billion in distributed value on Oct. 29. In a separate Oct. 28 snapshot, distributed value was up 17.79% over 30 days, even as monthly active addresses and transfer volume declined.

The Oct. 28 snapshot listed 4.51 million holders, up 12.14% over 30 days. Monthly active addresses fell 39.68% to 2,124,397, and monthly transfer volume dropped 86.68% to $10.14 billion.

Distributed value tracks the value of assets held, while monthly transfer volume measures activity over a period. They describe different parts of the market: a decline in transfer volume does not mean the value held fell. In the Oct. 28 snapshot, distributed value rose over 30 days as transfers and active addresses decreased.

Platform rankings dated Oct. 28 listed bStocks at $1.4 billion in distributed value, Ondo at $930.9 million and xStocks at $623 million. Those figures rank platforms within the tokenized-stock category; they are distinct from the category's monthly transfer total.

A separate Oct. 27 snapshot showed tokenized stocks had more holders than tokenized Treasurys, while Treasurys had greater distributed value. The earlier comparison of stocks and Treasurys covered those differences in the two categories.

The tokenized-stock category includes public equities and exchange-traded funds issued natively onchain or represented synthetically. Coinbase's tokenized stocks are certificates issued by Coinbase Onchain SPV Ltd., with the underlying shares held in segregated custody with Alpaca Securities. Coinbase's offering is unavailable to U.S. persons.

Aave Labs' Aave V4 market on Base went live Sept. 25, making seven Coinbase tokenized stocks eligible as collateral for USD Coin (USDC) borrowing in eligible geographies outside the United States. The stocks are Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia and Tesla.
