Cramer Calls Tech Selloff an Opportunity, Predicts FedEx Holiday Win
He said Thursday’s selling swept up strong and weaker companies alike. FedEx beat quarterly expectations and raised its full-year earnings outlook.

Jim Cramer called Thursday’s technology selloff an opportunity for investors, saying indiscriminate trading had pulled down strong businesses along with weaker companies as earnings weighed on major tech shares.
“Today is a day of opportunity,” Cramer said, describing investors as selling strong and weaker companies without distinction. Alphabet shares fell after revenue missed expectations, and Microsoft shares gave up an early gain during the broader technology decline.
Alphabet’s Search business also missed estimates for a second consecutive quarter, while Google Cloud posted strong growth. Growth in Microsoft’s Azure cloud business picked up. Cramer praised Microsoft’s AI expansion and financial discipline and pointed to concerns about Alphabet’s negative free cash flow.
The remarks followed Cramer’s earlier criticism of the S&P 500’s advance, which he said lacked conviction.
Cramer also predicted FedEx would outperform UPS during the upcoming holiday shipping season, which would be the first time it topped the rival in that period. FedEx’s quarterly results Wednesday beat expectations, and the company raised its full-year earnings outlook.
A softer-than-expected fourth-quarter forecast limited gains, while higher transportation, labor and aircraft maintenance costs pressured near-term profitability. CEO Raj Subramaniam remains confident domestic margins will improve in 2027 as FedEx streamlines operations, Cramer said.
