Binance Wallet Security Fears Rattle Markets as BNB Falls 7%
Blockaid flagged about $3.3 billion in suspicious transfers. Binance said it was examining a possible security problem and described user funds as “completely safe.”

Suspicious multibillion-dollar transfers from Binance-linked wallets coincided with a crypto sell-off Thursday, including a 7.2% drop in BNB and losses for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH).
Blockaid identified about $3.3 billion in suspicious transfers. Wallets carrying the “binance-hacker-1029” label held roughly $5.84 billion in assets. Those figures describe activity and balances, not a confirmed theft amount.
On Thursday, BNB was near $702, down 7.2% from 24 hours earlier. Bitcoin fell 3.1%, and Ether dropped 4% to around $2,263. The total cryptocurrency market capitalization fell 3.3% to about $2.73 trillion, while 24-hour trading volume rose nearly 29% to $89.4 billion.
Binance said it was examining a possible security problem and described user funds as “completely safe.” Tether and Circle froze more than $2.3 billion in stablecoins linked to the incident. The labels and wallet balances do not establish whether a theft occurred or how much was taken.
