Crypto markets recorded $1.231 billion in liquidations over a 12-hour period dated Oct. 30, with $1.069 billion tied to long positions, making up nearly 87% of the total.

Short positions accounted for $162 million, or about 13% of the snapshot. The long-side amount exceeded short-side liquidations by $907 million and was about 6.6 times as large. Together, the two figures equal the $1.231 billion aggregate.

That split places most of the liquidation value on the long side of crypto derivatives trading. Nearly seven of every eight dollars in the total came from long positions, while shorts accounted for about one dollar in every eight.

The 12-hour snapshot is shorter than a full day, so the $1.231 billion total applies only to that measured period. It provides an aggregate view across crypto markets and shows which side made up most of the liquidated value during that window. The reported split is by dollar value.
