Standard Chartered Reiterates $100 UNI Target After Binance Hack
Geoffrey Kendrick said the breach may hasten a shift toward decentralized exchanges, where top 10 spot trading volume reached 23.5% of centralized exchange volume in Q2.

Standard Chartered reiterated its long-term $100 target for Uniswap's UNI token by 2030, while the bank's global head of digital assets research said Binance's security breach could accelerate the shift from centralized crypto exchanges to decentralized platforms.
Geoffrey Kendrick said the breach may prompt investors to reassess the risks of holding assets on centralized exchanges. He described the incident as another potential driver of decentralized exchanges' share of trading and said it could support Uniswap's longer-term outlook.
Trading volume at the top 10 spot decentralized exchanges equaled 23.5% of volume at the top 10 centralized exchanges in the second quarter of 2026, up 2.1 percentage points from the first quarter.
Standard Chartered's broader view includes a projection that decentralized finance protocols could hold $2.7 trillion in total value locked by 2030. The bank sees Uniswap as a potential trading venue for tokenized assets.
