As of 3:28 p.m. KST on Oct. 30 (6:28 a.m. UTC), the top 100 traders by 24-hour performance on Hyperliquid, Lighter, dYdX and Pacifica combined hold about $616 million in long positions and $2.37 billion in short positions, a long share of about 21%. The figure sums each exchange's top 100 by 24-hour performance separately, by asset.

In this morning's edition (aggregated at 5:54 a.m. KST) the same group held about $568 million long and $2.49 billion short, a long share of 19%. In the roughly 9.5 hours since, long notional rose by $48 million and short notional fell by $115 million. On Hyperliquid prices, comparing 8:41 a.m. with 5:41 p.m., Bitcoin (BTC) slipped from $78,520 to $77,950, down 0.7%, and Ethereum (ETH) from $2,261 to $2,225, down 1.6%, while Hyperliquid (HYPE) rose from $90.46 to $91.59, up 1.2%.

The top group by 7-day performance holds about $492 million long and $2.60 billion short, a long share of about 16%. This morning it was 17.6% ($526 million long, $2.46 billion short), so longs fell by $34 million and shorts rose by $142 million. Its unrealized gain went from about $97 million to about $99 million.

The 30-day group holds about $441 million long and $3.12 billion short, a long share of about 12.4%, up from 11.5% this morning, and its unrealized gain grew from about $72 million to $92 million. The long share is 20.6% in the 24-hour group, 15.9% in the 7-day group and 12.4% in the 30-day group, so all three still hold more shorts than longs. The gap between the 24-hour and 7-day groups widened from 1.0 point this morning to 4.7 points.

BTC in the 24-hour group has 95 long and 119 short accounts, so by headcount the split has tilted back toward shorts; this morning it was 119 long and 96 short. By notional the group holds about $155 million long and $859 million short. In the 7-day group the 83 long and 136 short accounts hold about $869 million short, up from $794 million, and the 30-day group has 84 long and 150 short accounts with about $949 million short. BTC positions' unrealized result moved from a loss of about $0.09 million to a gain of about $8.8 million in the 7-day group, and from a loss of about $4.2 million to a gain of about $6.8 million in the 30-day group.

ETH in the 24-hour group has 60 long and 105 short accounts, about $58 million long and $599 million short, a long share of 8.9%. This morning it was 87 long and 92 short, a long share of 5.3%, so the headcount tilted toward shorts while the notional long share rose. ETH's unrealized gain in this group grew from about $22 million to $31 million, and in the 7-day group from about $22 million to $31 million.

By asset, the biggest move in the 24-hour group's long share by headcount among the top 20 by notional came in Worldcoin (WLD). WLD went from 14 long and 50 short accounts (22%) this morning to 31 long and 34 short (48%). By notional, however, long positions fell from about $0.41 million to $0.37 million and shorts from about $17.4 million to $15.2 million, so the long share stays at 2.4%. It is at $0.394, down 5.0% over 24 hours.

In the 7-day group WLD has 27 long and 55 short accounts, up from 22 long and 53 short this morning, and in the 30-day group 30 long and 53 short accounts, where long notional rose from about $1.0 million to $5.6 million, taking the long share from 4.3% to 20.4%.

A 24-hour group whose long share rose from 19% to 21% while the 7-day group slipped from 18% to 16% does not mean those accounts changed their positions. The groups are re-selected every hour on performance over each window, so when the accounts that make the ranking change, the direction split changes with them. Over 24 hours HYPE is up 16.0% while BTC is down 2.5%, ETH 3.9% and Solana (SOL) 2.8%, so assets moved in different directions.

The figures also sum only the top-100 positions on four exchanges, so a few large positions can sway the notional split, and holdings on other exchanges or in spot are not counted, leaving any hedging unknown. HYPE holds about $234 million long and $210 million short in the 24-hour group, a long share of 53% by notional, and among the top 20 assets by notional in that group HYPE, Monero (XMR), BNB and ZRO lean long; in the 7-day and 30-day groups only BNB does. Current positions describe the present, not where the market goes next.
