Russian Strikes Leave More Than 350,000 Without Power in Dnipro
A refinery fire in Russia followed a drone strike, while Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned of further ballistic missile attacks.

Russian attacks knocked out electricity for more than 350,000 people in Ukraine’s Dnipro region, deepening energy-supply disruption as strikes also set a refinery ablaze in Russia.
Emergency power cuts were imposed in Dnipro and across Dnipropetrovsk Oblast after damage to energy infrastructure. Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional military administration, said more than 350,000 people had lost power and crews were working to restore service.
Separately, a fire broke out at the Novokuibyshevsk refinery in Russia’s Samara Oblast after a drone strike. The facility produces jet fuel for the Russian armed forces.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned Thursday that Russia was preparing further ballistic missile attacks. He urged Ukraine’s allies to provide more interceptors, particularly for Patriot air defense systems.
Zelenskyy also said Ukrainian forces had destroyed two Russian Su-34 aircraft and struck an Iskander missile launcher. The outage and refinery fire formed part of an overnight exchange of strikes on energy infrastructure in both countries.
