On Oct. 30, options tied to Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) showed stronger demand for downside protection, with puts dominating leading contracts by volume as skew climbed across several expirations.

The latest rise in skew across several expirations adds to earlier signs of defensive positioning in Bitcoin options.

Bitcoin touched $76,400, its lowest level since Sept. 18, before rebounding. Ether fell to $2,170 and later recovered to about $2,220. Nasdaq 100 futures fell 2.3%, adding pressure across markets.
