Hyperliquid's HYPE token rose about 20% as Binance recorded a one-day spot volume of $16.2 billion, a new high on the exchange.
The volume record was about 4.5 times Binance's average of $3.6 billion per day over the previous month. On those rounded figures, it stood roughly $12.6 billion above the benchmark. Both numbers refer to HYPE spot activity on Binance, comparing one day with the market's average per day during the prior month. The $16.2 billion figure does not measure HYPE trading across all exchanges or in futures markets.
Separately, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and TradeXYZ announced plans for a regulated U.S. perpetual-futures market using Hyperliquid technology. It would run 24/7 and cover stocks, commodities, foreign exchange and crypto assets, subject to regulatory approval. ICE would operate and clear the market; TradeXYZ would handle product design and implementation. Investor Stanley Druckenmiller has publicly said he invested in TradeXYZ.
