U.S. semiconductor shares fell sharply Friday, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index down more than 7% by 11:37 a.m. ET (15:37 UTC). The decline offers a cross-market signal for crypto traders tracking AI-linked assets and broader risk appetite.

Intel led the named chipmakers, plunging 28.33%. Qualcomm fell 11.30%, ARM lost 10.70% and AMD slid 9.64%. SanDisk dropped 11%, while Broadcom fell 5.36%, Nvidia lost 3.56% and Micron Technology declined 5.01%. Among those companies, losses ranged from 3.56% for Nvidia to 28.33% for Intel.

Semiconductor equipment shares also fell. Applied Materials dropped 7.04%, Lam Research declined 6.50% and ASML fell 5.67%—a range of 5.67% to 7.04%. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. fell 5.33%, and SK Hynix lost 7.63%.
