Render (RENDER) led the third-quarter 2026 ranking of nine AI-related crypto projects with $23.3 million in revenue, with about 92% of its total coming in September.

Render recorded $21.4 million that month. The concentration means the quarter’s total was not spread evenly across its three months. The figures do not establish whether September reflected sustained demand or activity concentrated in a single month. Fourth-quarter revenue will offer another comparison, but no Q4 results appear in the ranking.

Chainlink placed second with $14.6 million, followed by Aethir at $9.3 million. NEAR generated $4.5 million, nearly three times its second-quarter revenue. Bittensor (TAO) recorded $3 million, a 17% decline from the prior quarter.

Virtuals Protocol had $636,000 in revenue, Internet Computer recorded $325,000 and Akash Network had $33,000. Revenue at Virtuals Protocol and Internet Computer each fell by more than one-third from the second quarter. The ranking gives no reasons for those declines.

The comparison measures reported revenue and does not capture every aspect of network activity. The figures show different quarter-to-quarter directions: NEAR’s revenue rose sharply, while Bittensor, Virtuals Protocol and Internet Computer posted declines. Fourth-quarter figures will provide another period for comparison across the listed projects.
