Bambusa Therapeutics and Aspen Neuroscience Shares Fall in Nasdaq Debuts
Bambusa began trading at $14.88. Aspen’s IPO covered 9,375,000 shares at $15 apiece.

Bambusa Therapeutics (BBTX) and Aspen Neuroscience (ASPE) shares moved lower Friday, Oct. 30, as both companies began trading on Nasdaq in public market debuts. The companies are developing treatments in different areas, including antibody therapies and cell therapies focused on Parkinson’s disease.
Boston-based Bambusa develops bispecific antibody therapies. Its shares began trading at $14.88. Aspen is a cell therapy developer focused on Parkinson’s disease, and its shares also traded lower during the debut session.
Aspen’s earlier IPO terms covered 9,375,000 shares at $15 apiece, set before its public trading debut. The offering was expected to generate about $140.6 million in gross proceeds. That estimate excludes underwriting discounts, commissions and other offering expenses, so it does not represent the amount Aspen would retain after those costs.
