Ten Large Crypto Transfers Total $1.17 Billion in Three Hours

Ten large crypto transfers totaling $1.17 billion were recorded in a three-hour window ending at 5 p.m. ET Friday, Oct. 30, led by a $262 million Bitcoin (BTC) transaction.

The largest move sent 3,397 BTC from one unknown wallet to another. A separate transfer moved 2,906 BTC, worth $224.1 million, between unknown wallets at 2:02 p.m. ET.

Transfers from unknown wallets to Bitfinex, Coinbase, Coinbase Institutional and Paypal totaled $360.2 million. Transfers from Aave, Coinbase Institutional and Paxos to unknown wallets totaled $269 million.

At 2:19 p.m. ET, an unknown wallet sent 162,900,000 Tether (USDT), valued at $162.7 million, to Bitfinex. Aave sent 115,000,000 USD Coin (USDC), worth $115 million, to an unknown wallet at 4:40 p.m. ET. Coinbase Institutional sent 1,301 BTC worth $100.2 million to an unknown wallet at 2:34 p.m. ET.

Other exchange-bound transfers included 1,000 BTC, valued at $77.1 million, sent from an unknown wallet to Coinbase at 2:01 p.m. ET, and 865 BTC worth $66.7 million sent to Coinbase Institutional at 2:19 p.m. ET. At 4:40 p.m. ET, Paxos sent 699 BTC, valued at $53.7 million, to an unknown wallet.

An unknown wallet sent 700 BTC worth $53.6 million to Paypal at 3:06 p.m. ET. Paypal sent 702 BTC, also valued at $53.6 million, to Paxos at 3:37 p.m. ET. Transfer direction shows where funds moved, but does not establish what wallet holders intend to do.

A previous three-hour tally of nine large Bitcoin transfers on Oct. 27 totaled $1.74 billion.
