The snapshot put Ether at $2,240.80, with $9.92 million in Binance spot buy orders against $6.55 million in sell orders.
Ether (ETH) was priced at $2,240.80 in a market snapshot that showed Binance’s spot order book with about $3.37 million more buy-side depth than sell-side depth. Binance spot had the largest order book in the snapshot.
Its displayed buy orders totaled $9.92 million, compared with $6.55 million in sell orders. The difference is about $3.37 million using the rounded figures. Buy orders are bids, while sell orders are asks.
OKX’s perpetual market also had more buy orders than sell orders, though its order book was smaller than Binance spot’s.
Order-book depth describes the amount of buy and sell interest visible at a venue. A sudden large buy or sell can move prices first on exchanges with thinner books, where price fluctuations may be more pronounced.
A prior Binance spot Ether order-book snapshot recorded a separate buy-side advantage.
