The Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) rose 9.53% in October as investors shifted toward defensive health care shares amid a rotation away from technology stocks.

Regeneron climbed 26.28% after results exceeded expectations and revenue grew through its collaboration with Sanofi. Eli Lilly advanced 23.28% amid strong results, a higher full-year revenue outlook and demand for Mounjaro and Zepbound.

Illumina fell 11.19% after quarterly revenue missed expectations despite a stronger-than-expected bottom line. Solventum declined 7.34%.
