Tracked XRP Exchange Balances Fall 133 Million XRP as 1 Billion XRP Leaves Escrow
The Oct. 31 balance snapshot preceded the release. Neither measure shows whether XRP was sold.

XRP exchange-wallet balances fell 133 million XRP in the week to Oct. 31, before two Ripple-owned escrow objects released 1 billion XRP later that day; the figures track separate pools.
Publicly attributed exchange wallets held 22.48 billion XRP on Oct. 31, down from the Oct. 24 snapshot of the same tracked addresses. Those addresses can include cold-storage wallets, so the balance does not show how much XRP was listed for sale or whether customers withdrew tokens or an exchange moved them elsewhere.
Daily readings are around 4 a.m. ET (08:00 UTC), but the exact time of the Oct. 31 snapshot was not published. The approximate reading preceded the transactions, which were recorded at 8:00:02 p.m. ET Oct. 31 (00:00:02 UTC Nov. 1). Each escrow object released 500 million XRP, completing the scheduled escrow release.
The release records show XRP left escrow, but do not establish whether it was sold or distributed. The ledger records an escrow’s execution with an EscrowFinish transaction, which transfers the locked XRP to its designated recipient.
At 5:50 a.m. ET Nov. 1 (10:50 UTC), no XRP from the November release had been re-escrowed, and Ripple-owned escrow held 30.4 billion XRP. In October, 700 million XRP from a 1 billion XRP release was re-escrowed, leaving 300 million XRP outside escrow. The exchange-wallet decline and escrow release do not establish how much XRP was available for sale.
