Binance has reopened withdrawals, with about $2.5 billion leaving the exchange within hours of service returning, an outflow equal to less than 2% of its stated assets under custody.

About $2.5 billion was withdrawn after Binance enabled the service. Assets under custody exceed $160 billion, making the $2.5 billion withdrawal total less than 2% of that amount. At a $160 billion comparison point, $2.5 billion is about 1.6%; the share is lower if Binance’s custody total is higher.

Withdrawals had been temporarily frozen before the service returned. Binance is one of the world’s largest crypto exchanges and offers trading, custody and staking services. The withdrawal figure captures funds moving off the platform, while assets under custody provide a comparison with the wider total Binance says it holds. The figures describe different measures: a withdrawal flow over hours and an asset base above $160 billion.
