MEXC Captured 17.43% of Q3 Commodity Perpetual Volume
The $491 billion market was led by Binance, whose $287 billion in trading represented 58.48%.

MEXC ranked second in commodity-perpetual trading in Q3 2026, with $86 billion in volume and a 17.43% share of the $491 billion market tracked across exchanges.
The figures were released Nov. 2. The figures cover activity from July through September. Binance led with $287 billion, or 58.48% of the commodity market. Its volume was more than three times MEXC’s. OKX ranked third at $42 billion and 8.56%, followed by Bitget at $28 billion and 5.64%. Binance and MEXC together represented 75.91%, or about 76%, of the tracked volume.
The exchange rankings apply to commodity perpetuals, a segment of the larger traditional-finance (TradFi) perpetual market. That broader market totaled $2.1 trillion across nine exchanges, so MEXC’s 17.43% share refers to the $491 billion commodity segment, not the full TradFi total.
Gold (XAU) accounted for 51% of commodity-perpetual volume. Gold, silver and WTI together represented 91% of commodity-perpetual activity. Commodity-perpetual volume rose through the quarter and reached $188 billion in September.
Equity perpetuals totaled $1.61 trillion, or 77% of TradFi perpetual volume. Total monthly TradFi-perpetual volume peaked at $793 billion in August.
Some Q2-to-Q3 growth in TradFi perpetuals reflects wider data coverage, limiting direct comparisons.
Across crypto exchanges overall, trading volume fell 27.5% from Q2 to $12 trillion. Spot volume declined 55% to $2 trillion, while derivatives volume fell 17% to $10 trillion.
