BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust held about 815,000 Bitcoin (BTC) as of Oct. 29, equal to roughly 3.9% of Bitcoin’s maximum supply and providing an updated measure of the fund’s scale.

The trust’s Oct. 29 holdings file listed the amount. Its net assets were about $62 billion as of Oct. 30, a separate measure recorded the following day.

Coinbase is the trust’s main Bitcoin custodian, with Anchorage Digital as an additional custodian; earlier coverage examined a hypothetical security risk to IBIT. BlackRock’s filing for the quarter ended June 30 said the fund had no current plans to move its Bitcoin away from Coinbase.

Coinbase’s commercial crime insurance is shared among its customers. The custody agreement generally limits Coinbase’s liability to $100 million per cold-storage address, subject to contractual exceptions. The Bitcoin network has no central authority that can freeze stolen coins.
