On November 2, the pair opened at 1,335.0 won per dollar, up 0.7 won from the previous close. It finished 8.8 won above its opening level, marking a further weakening of the won during the session.

The closing rate remained near the bottom of the year's range, bounded by a low of 1,323.1 on October 26 and a high of 1,555.8 on July 2. It stood about 9% of the way up that range and was 72.3 won below the August 7 rate of 1,416.1.

The same day's exchange rates were 202.29 won per Chinese yuan and 851 won per 100 Japanese yen.
