A sharp move in West Texas Intermediate (WTI) put oil in focus for crypto and macro traders Monday, with prices at $98.15 a barrel, down 4.74%.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (14:31 UTC), Brent crude was also lower, down 4.24% at $110.5 a barrel. WTI's percentage decline was slightly larger, and both benchmarks were down during the session. The two prices provide a same-session view of the oil market, with WTI below $100 a barrel and Brent above $110.

Gold rose 1.75% to $3,948.01 an ounce, while silver gained 3.98% to $50.822 an ounce. Crude fell as precious metals advanced, leaving the commodity moves mixed. Together, the figures show different directions across markets early in the U.S. day.

The WTI move is a notable cross-market price change for crypto traders monitoring macro-sensitive assets. The quoted figures are intraday readings for Monday, Nov. 2, rather than final settlement prices for the session.
