U.S. Spot Ether ETFs Set Monthly Outflow Record at $1.61 Billion

U.S. spot Ether (ETH) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $1.6072 billion in net outflows during October, the largest monthly total in the daily record.

A composite ETH/USD feed showed $2,281 at 2:48:29 a.m. ET (7:48:29 UTC) on Nov. 2. One chart-based scenario places $2,315 as an intervening level, with $2,415 as an upper reference and $2,170 as a lower reference. The scenario is conditional, and its levels are not consensus targets. The $2,170 reference matches Ether’s low on Oct. 30.

October’s total covered 22 U.S. trading sessions from Oct. 1 through Oct. 30. It exceeded the previous monthly high of $1.4236 billion in net outflows, recorded in November 2025. Net withdrawals from the funds reached $155.7 million on Oct. 30.

The month-end total extends earlier coverage of Ether fund flows through Oct. 22. The later sessions brought the October figure above the prior monthly record.

Cumulative net inflows across the funds stood at $12.3163 billion through the latest completed session on Oct. 30. That longer-running total remained positive even as October set a monthly outflow record. The monthly figure and the cumulative figure describe fund flows over different periods.

U.S. spot Ether products began trading on July 23, 2024. The October record is a monthly comparison within the daily flow data for these products; it does not describe all Ether trading.

The flow figures cover U.S.-listed spot products and do not identify why investors bought or sold. October’s fund outflows and Ether’s price movements occurred in the same period, but the figures do not establish that one caused the other.
