KPMG Projects 45,000 U.S. Payroll Gain Before November Jobs Report
The forecast includes 50,000 private-sector jobs and a 5,000-job decline in public-sector employment.

KPMG projects U.S. nonfarm payrolls will rise by 45,000 in October, with the estimate set for comparison with official data when the government releases its monthly jobs report Friday, Nov. 6.
The Oct. 30 forecast comprises a 50,000 increase in private-sector jobs and a 5,000 decline in public-sector employment. The projected total would exceed September’s 29,000 payroll gain.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has scheduled the October Employment Situation report for 8:30 a.m. ET (13:30 UTC). The September report put unemployment at 4.2% and revised July and August payrolls down by a combined 60,000. An earlier U.S. jobs report preview listed the October release date.
