The Federal Reserve’s broad dollar index stood at 121.3202 on Oct. 23, down slightly from 121.3248 on Oct. 19. The readings end before the week that closed Oct. 30.
The index uses January 2006 = 100 and tracks the dollar against a broad group of U.S. trading partners. A separate index measuring the dollar against six currencies fell 0.2% on Oct. 30 but rose 0.3% for October.
On Oct. 30, the euro was $1.1199, up 0.16% that day, while sterling was $1.341, up 0.3%. These figures cover different baskets and time periods, so they are not direct comparisons with the Fed’s Oct. 19-23 readings.
The Fed’s schedule lists Monday releases of daily exchange rates and dollar indexes covering the previous business week.
