Five Transfers Total $873.2 Million as 270 Million Tether (USDT) Goes to Bitfinex

Five large crypto transfers valued at a combined $873.2 million took place in the three hours ending at 4:01 p.m. ET on Monday, Nov. 2, led by a 270 million Tether (USDT) transfer to Bitfinex.

An unknown wallet sent $269.6 million to Bitfinex, while another sent $149.9 million to Aave; $54.1 million moved from Coinbase Institutional to an unknown wallet. The transfers show where assets moved, but do not establish what the wallet owners intended.

At 1:14 p.m. ET, 149,998,997 USDT, valued at $149.9 million, moved from an unknown wallet to Aave. Coinbase Institutional sent 703 Bitcoin (BTC), worth $54.1 million, to an unknown new wallet at 1:46 p.m. ET. At 2:01 p.m. ET, an unknown wallet sent 270 million USDT, valued at $269.6 million, to Bitfinex.

Binance sent 200 million USDT worth $199.8 million to Tether Treasury at 2:31 p.m. ET. At 3:19 p.m. ET, Tether Treasury sent 200 million USDT valued at $199.7 million to Binance.

The Bitfinex transfer was separate from a 172.7 million USDT transfer to the exchange on Nov. 2.
